College

hey ame here.

we're still working some stuff out, but i'll vent in the meantime.

it seems as if everyone's college dreams are coming true. it's as if every hour, on the hour, there is another screaming teen jumping up and down in excitement of reciving admission into the "it" ivy league school. i'm happy for all of you, i really am, but when will my college dream come true?

i am constantly perched at the mailbox, waiting for that fateful envelope to arrive. i just wish it was all over, fast-fowarded a month to when my deposit is paid.

and why the hell is everyone getting into amazing schools? i guess i just never realized how smart some of my buds are. they're all going to cure cancer, and i'll just be blogging about my lastest torment.

maybe everything is just lost in the mail. sometimes mailmen just hide the mail and never deliver it (check out this story http://www.slate.com/id/2204823/pagenum/all/). maybe my letter is hidden between some floorboards in a stranger's house, the bright school crest calling out to an admitted student that will never recieve the letter. i'm sure that's it, all my college dreams are out there, they've just been lost in the mail.

are my delusions justified? lemme know.
